Are you seeking to expand your expertise in addressing the emotional challenges induced by the hormonal changes during the menopausal transition?
The EMBERS® Menopause-Informed CBT Training is the UK's only CPD-accredited training on menopause and women's mental health, helping professionals support women through this transition.
Book NowThe EMBERS® Menopause-Informed CBT Model is a six-stage psychological framework which I have developed and used in my clinical practice since 2019.
This framework draws upon evidence-based principles from various psychological approaches, including elements from third-wave Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) methodologies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Emotion Efficacy Therapy (EET).
The EMBERS® Menopause-Informed framework aligns with the bio-psycho-sociocultural model, is underpinned by the principles of Lifestyle Medicine, and is informed by a neuroscientific understanding of how menopause impacts both the brain and the mind.
This model aims to target a range of psychological processes that can become imbalanced during the menopausal transition which when addressed, women will benefit from improved emotional regulation, enhanced psychological flexibility, and increased day-to-day functioning.
