From Personal Journey to Professional Expertise
My passion for this work is deeply rooted in my own journey through the complex challenges of menopause. I've walked in your shoes, experiencing the delicate balance of managing family, career, and friendships while navigating midlife's ups and downs. I understand the struggles that many women face in today's fast-paced world, and I'm dedicated to providing the support and tools you need and deserve.
With over two decades of experience as a trained and registered Counselling Psychologist, CBT, and EMDR Therapist, I've got the expertise to empower you to get back control over your life, body and mind.
Today, I have the privilege of connecting with amazing women from various corners of the UK and the world, both in-person and virtually. They are on a transformative journey to rediscover themselves, rekindle their inner glow, and thrive once more. My passion lies in empowering women from all walks of life, helping them conquer feelings of overwhelm, anxiety, and burnout that often come with the demands of modern life during menopause. I'm here to guide you through the challenges and rough waters of this journey.
Whenever you're ready to embark on this transformative journey to rediscover your inner glow, don't hesitate to reach out – I'm here to show you how to harness the power of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and help you become CBT – Confident, Brave, and Thriving once again.
I want to get my GLOW backAnd when I'm not immersed in this rewarding work, you'll find me enjoying leisurely walks with my two adorable dogs, Alfie and Charlie, listening to a podcast, pursuing an active lifestyle or immersing myself in the pages of a good book.
Leading the Way in Menopause Mental Health and Psychological Wellbeing
As a Counselling Psychologist, I hold professional registration and accreditation with several organisations, including the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), British Psychological Society (BPS), British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), and British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Furthermore, I am a certified Lifestyle Medicine Professional having achieved accreditation through the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine (BSLM).
I have been working as a Mental Health professional for over 20 years and have experience in providing therapeutic services in different settings including organisational, Primary Care Mental Health Services, voluntary sector and private practice. Beyond my clinical work, I've held roles in senior operational management positions within the NHS, where I played a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery of countywide Primary Care psychological therapy services and Psychological Wellbeing services for NHS staff and other organisations.
My professional aim is to improve the mental health and psychological care for all women going through the menopausal transition. I endeavour to do this by working directly with women seeking support to overcome their emotional difficulties caused by the peri/menopause and by providing training to health professionals who want to learn how to attend to the psychological difficulties induced in women by the hormonal fluctuations caused by the peri/menopause.
